Allure was nearly named Poet, Seduction and Paradis by Chanel. However, Chanel took inspiration form the book by Vogue editor, Diana Vreeland and christened this fabulous romantic fragrance Allure.
Allure is not constructed in a traditional manner with top, middle and base notes, instead it is conjured by six shimmering notes that overlap, with none taking predominance. It has fresh green notes, fruity accords, light airy flowers and warm sweet facets, for a perfume that is seductive, feminine and ultimately romantic. Allure contains essences of citron, bergamot, mandarin, peach, may rose, jasmine, water lily, sandalwood, vetiver and vanilla. | |
