Paloma Picasso

Paloma Picasso is the youngest child of master artist Pablo Picasso and his lover, artist and writer Françoise Gilot. Paloma was surrounded by artists from a very young age and her own creative career began in 1968, when she became a costume designer in her native Paris. Her rhinestone necklaces caused acclaim among critics, and soon, Yves Saint Laurent asked her to design accessories to accompany one of his collections, and by 1971 she was working for the Greek jewelry company Zolotas. In 1980, she began designing jewelry for Tiffany and Co and soon after she launched her own brand, Paloma Picasso, and created many perfumes and designer fashion accessories, including an eponymous scent and Mon Rouge, a dramatic scarlet lipstick that became her trademark.

Paloma Picasso's perfumes are iconic, feminine and creative, just like the luxury goods designer herself.

PERFUME
This is the extract or extrait of a fragrance and represents the scent in its purest form. This often creates a smooth and round texture, which is hard to achieve with the dilution represented in the other concentrations of fragrance.
EDP
Eau de Parfum or EDP is one of the most popular forms of fragrance. Eau de Parfum contains between seven to fourteen per cent of fragrance oils and perfume elixirs and is the second strongest, and longest lasting means of wearing a fine fragrance.
EDT
EDT’s are not as highly concentrated in oils and elixirs as an EDP or Perfume would be and contain one to three per cent of fragrance oils. This impacts the ability of the fragrance to last and around eighty percent of the oils in an EDT fragrance will evaporate within three hours of application.
EDC
Eau de Cologne’s or EDC’s were first popularised by Napoleon. These fragrances are often constructed in a different manner to the traditional French Model and are formulated in one single burst. As a result of this process, EDC’s or Eau de Colognes last the least amount of time on the skin.
AFTERSHAVE
Aftershave or Aftershave Lotions tend to be a more traditional means for men to wear fragrances. Aftershaves often contain a lot less alcohol because they are directly applied to the skin. This lack of alcohol content also means that they are less likely to last when compared other perfume types.
